Message from the President of Cuttington University to CUAA

I am delighted to send greetings to my fellow Scorpions of the Cuttington Alumni Association in the Americas.  I remain encouraged at the level of your sustained interest in the success of Cuttington University.

The students of the Associate (Kakata), undergraduate (Suakoko) and Graduate (Monrovia) program join me in extending congratulations on your recent elections of a new leadership. Oh, as well as students from our Campus School who have asked me to inform you that they now have a full high school status.

There is much to be done here as I take on the exciting privilege of leading this institution.  Our physical infrastructure and environment need adequate attention, as does the enhancement of the quality of our faculty.  The facilities we provide our students, the prudent management of our finances and real estate, the institutional growth and expansion of our campuses away from Suakoko all make for substantial journey.  But never has such a daunting journey been undertaken with such great a joy than now.

A good measure of the joy I feel comes from knowing that you stand in the finest ‘scorpion’ tradition of holding the hands of another in need, and helping him bear his load. The potential here is great. The commitment I meet both here and abroad is refreshing. I ask only that you take this journey with us to see Cuttington rise again. We have always been better than the rest, but I am confident we can be better still.  And with you there, that’s a promise I intend to keep.

Sincere, as ever,

Herman B. Browne, Ph.D.
